Overnights: Colors slips further on Tuesday; Rishtey accelerates

Colors suffered another blow in UK ratings on Tuesday with its share dropping to zero, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Whilst the channel’s reach has been a lot better, its share has been dropping over the past few days. On Tuesday, its sister channel Rishtey, delivered a share of 0.05%, that’s more than the 0.04% by ZEE TV and 0.02% for Sony Entertainment Television.

Colors will be launching two new fictions over the next couple of weeks to boost its weekday ratings. It is also launching a number of weekend shows to spruce up it output. Its big launch ‘Bepannaah’ has failed to live up to expectations in the UK, with last night’s ratings around 1,000 viewers, despite a huge marketing campaign before its launch in March.

Rishtey did much better with ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 21:00 pulling in 25,200 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ and ‘Dil Ki Pukar’ raking in 24,900 viewers each.

Above data is overnight ratings supplied by Attentional – and may change slightly after consolidated figures become available in seven days from BARB.
