Overnights: Colors beats Star Plus in 21:00 – 22:30 Thursday slot

It was Colors’ night yesterday evening in the UK Asian TV ratings after it beat Star Plus in the most coveted 21:00 – 22:30 slots, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

While Star Plus’ weekday shows have slid in the ratings, Colors has managed to pull itself up by being able to come up on top on Thursday. Looking at the breakdown, ‘BeIntehaa’ in the 21:00 slot on Colors pulled in a record 114,700 viewers – peaking at 152,200 viewers. During the same slot, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ on Star Plus could only manage 91,200 viewers. At 21:30, ‘Rangrasiya’ on Colors pulled in 73,700 viewers – ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus at the same time brought in just 34,100 viewers. ‘Uttaran’ at 22:00 on Colors pulled in 59,300 viewers, while ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ at 22:00 on Star Plus mustered in 36,000 viewers.

The top show overall on Star Plus was ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 147,600 viewers and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Ek Baar Phir’ at 18:00 attracting 136,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ pulled in 34,100 viewers, followed by ‘Laado’ at 21:00 with 30,000 viewers and ‘Mrs Pammi Pyarelal’ at 21:30 got 25,600 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Laut Aao Trisha’ was the slot leader being Colors and Rishtey with 70,900 viewers, followed by ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ at 21:30 with 46,800 viewers and ‘Gustakh Dil’ at 19:30 got 36,500 viewers.

On Hum Europe, ‘Dil-e-Muztar’ was top with 33,200 viewers, followed by ‘Janam Jali’ with 17,200 viewers.
