Overnights: ‘Cloud 9’ boosts afternoon slot on Monday
Zing’s innovative local production, ‘Cloud 9’ did well in the ratings yesterday by boosting the 16:30 slot, according to exclusive UK data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.
The drama, which has had a slow start showed signs of picking up with 21,300 viewers tuning in at 16:30 – peaking at 33,200 – the biggest audience the show has got since it launched last month. The other slots (18:30 and 22:30) did not do as well with only a few hundred viewers tuning in. The early 10:30 repeat was watched by 2,700 viewers.
Zing’s most watched programme of the day was the music playlist show ‘Pure Bollywood’ at 16:00 with 23,600 – peaking at 33,200.
On market leader, Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ was on top with 191,400 viewers tuning in at 19:00, followed by ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, which got 166,100 viewers. In third was ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ with 136,500 viewers switching on at 21:30. Others were ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ (131,600), ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ (121,700), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (117,800), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (106,300) and ‘Veera’ slumped to a new low with just 77,800 viewers watching the show at 22:30.
On Star Life Ok ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ 67,900 viewers tuned in at 20:00 – making it the most watched show on the channel. It was followed by ‘Savadhaan India’ at 22:30 with 30,000 viewers. ‘Welcome’ at 22:00 had 27,000 viewers.
Rishtey’s most watched show last night was ‘Jaane Kya Baati Hui’ at 19:00 with 69,700 viewers.
