Overnights: BSEA 2015 tops New Years Eve ratings

Star Plus’ annual event Big Star Entertainment Awards 2015, which aired last night proved a huge draw in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The channel had the biggest audience between 20:00 – 00:00 last night with an average 76,200 viewers – peaking at 137,900 viewers. The event included performances from Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt and Elli Avram. The show was slightly down from last year. The Big Star Entertainment Awards 2014, which aired at the same time last year pulled in nearly 100,000 viewers.

Earlier in the night, ‘Saathiya’ was the biggest fiction on the channel with 134,300 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 108,600 viewers. ‘Mahabharat’ was the most watched afternoon show on the channel with 29,800 viewers at 14:00, followed by ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ at 15:30 with 19,900 viewers and ‘Manmarziyan’ at 13:30 with 14,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘RuBaru’ at 21:00 took lead with 70,700 viewers, followed by ‘Ishq Benam’ at 19:30 with 38,100 viewers and ‘Mera Dard Na Jane Koi’ at 19:00 with 37,200 viewers. ‘Sangat’ at 20:00 registered 35,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ returned to the top with 42,100 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Bigg Boss 9’ with 35,600 viewers and ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 30,900 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ was the biggest show at 20:00 with 52,000 viewers, followed by ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 31,600 viewers and ‘Laado’ at 19:00 with 7,100 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ stayed top with 29,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 25,500 viewers and ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 with 23,100 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kenha Hai’ was top show with 4,600 viewers at 21:00.
