Colors’ blockbuster reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 8’ was again took the lead over rival Star Plus in the 21:00 – 22:00 slot last night, despite strong competition from fiction ‘Diya Aur Baai Hum’.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Bigg Boss 8’ raked in an impressive 159,800 viewers – peaking at 213,400 viewers. At the same time ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ could only average 143,700 viewers on Star Plus. Colors’ fictions ‘BeIntehaa’ at 22:00 pulled in 69,700 viewers and ‘Shastri Sisters’ at 20:30 got 56,200 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ remained top show with 182,100 viewers – peaking at 201,700 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ next with 157,100 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 145,200 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 was top with 86,900 viewers, followed by ‘Parichay’ with 78,600 viewers at 20:00 and ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ with 70,500 viewers at 19:30.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ topped ratings with 50,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ at 21:30 with 47,700 viewers and ‘Laut Aao Trisha’ at 21:00 with 25,100 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Tum Mere Hi Rehna’ was top with 59,300 viewers, followed by ‘Rishtey Kuch Adooray Se’ at 21:00 with 38,600 viewers.
