Overnights: ‘Bigg Boss 12’ launch puts Colors on top on Sunday in UK


The launch episode of ‘Bigg Boss 12’ put Colors at the No.1 position in UK ratings on Sunday, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

Overnights data shows that the reality hit was watched by 65,500 viewers at 21:00 – peaking to 92,100 viewers. The audience was doubled to what the launch of ‘Bigg Boss 11’ attracted in 2017. Last year, the launch episode was watched by just 32,300 viewers.

Elsewhere, the repeat of ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’ at 23:30 was watched by 11,600 viewers and the repeat of IIFA 2018 pulled in 10,100 viewers on Colors.

The strong performance of ‘Indian Idol 10’ kept Sony TV high with 54,900 viewers, followed by ‘Comedy Circus’ with 18,600 viewers.

Hum TV’s re-run experiment of ‘Humsafar’ at 21:00 pulled in 23,200 viewers, making it the channel’s top show. ‘Ustani Jee’ at 22:00 raked in 9,600 viewers, while the last episode of ‘Ishq Tamasha’ at 20:00 delivered 8,900 viewers.

Star Plus’s top shows were ‘Food Food Maha Challenge’ at 19:00 with 24,800 viewers, followed by ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ with 18,000 viewers.

The movie ‘Padman’ gave ZEE TV a push with 10,700 viewers, followed by ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ at 12:00 with 2,900 viewers.
