Overnights: ‘Bani’ beats ‘SaraswatiChandra’ on Friday

'Bani Ishq Da Kalma' tops Rishtey ratings

In a blow to Star Plus’ hit show ‘SaraswatiChandra’, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ won the 19:30 slot on UK Asian TV last night.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘SaraswatiChandra’ was one of the lowest performing shows on Star Plus night – just behind ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ and ‘Veera’. It could only manage to muster in 86,000 viewers – half of the audience it usually attracts. ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’, which airs on rival channel, Rishtey grabbed 129,600 viewers – peaking at 146,200 viewers.

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ was the biggest success on UK Asian telly last night with 144,500 viewers, followed by ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 135,000 viewers and ‘Meri Bhabhi’ in third with 129,400 viewers.

Over on Rishtey, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ was in second place with 88,900 viewers and ‘Parichay’ next with 87,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘BeIntehaa’ remained top with 72,100 viewers, followed by ‘Uttaran’ with 62,100 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ was back on top with 45,300 viewers, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ with 33,200 viewers and ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ with 32,500 viewers.
