Star Plus ruled Saturday ratings in the UK, with its premiere of blockbuster ‘Baaghi 2’, while Urdu blockbuster ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ impressed, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
‘Baaghi 2’ (pictured) starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani at 21:00 was watched by 36,800 viewers on Star Plus – making it the most watched film on UK Asian TV. ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ at 15:00 pulled in 15,700 viewers. The channel clocked a share of 0.10%.
‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ gave ARY Family its biggest ever ratings with a share of 0.05%. The film was watched by 16,500 viewers at 20:00.
Star Gold was placed in second place with a share of 0.09%. Cult classic ‘Sholay’ was watched by 21,800 viewers.
Dunya News jumped to third place with a share of 0.08%. News Headlines at 22:00 drew 29,800 viewers.
Sony MAX also did well with a share of 0.07%. Its top film was ‘Sultan’ with 15,500 viewers.
Sony Entertainment Television fetched a share of 0.06%, followed by Colors with 0.04% and ZEE TV with 0.03%.
Hum TV also raked in a share of 0.03% with ‘The Afternoon Show’ attracting 9,500 viewers and movie premiere ‘Chupan Chupai’ being watched by 3,500 viewers.
