Recovery of UK Asian TV channels post the FIFA World Cup last night proved to be lackluster, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The most watched show on UK Asian telly last night was ‘Mahabharat’, which attracted 132,100 viewers at 20:30, while ‘SaraswatiChandra’ at 19:30 moved up to second place with 114,300 viewers. ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ was in third with 97,200 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Uttaran’ at 22:00 raked in 23,200 viewers, ‘BeIntehaa’ next with 12,900 viewers and ‘Rangrasiya’ in third with 8,900 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 pulled in 34,600 viewers, followed by ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ with 34,500 viewers at 19:30 and ‘Laado’ at 21:00 attracted 28,300 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ delivered 27,300 viewers, followed by ‘Baawre’ at 22:00 with 25,000 viewers and ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ with 22,600 viewers.
