Overnights: Asian TV channels continue decline in UK

UK Asian TV channels continued to struggle in ratings on Tuesday, with only Hum TV showing a significant rise, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus remained on top but its share continued to fall. Star Plus delivered a share of 0.17% with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ in pole position. It was watched by 124,700 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 88,700 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 82,200 viewers.

Hum TV clocked up a share of 0.11%. Its top rated shows on Wednesday were ‘Naseebon Jali’ repeat at 23:00 with 41,000 viewers, followed by ‘Maa Sadqay’ at 23:30 with 34,300 viewers. ‘De Ijaazat’ at 22:00 was watched by 28,000 viewers.

ZEE TV raked up a share of 0.03% with ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey’ led with 17,000 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Piyaa Albela’ at 19:00 with 11,200 viewers and ‘Aisi Deewangi’ at 21:30 with 7,900 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television, Hum Masala, Sony SAB TV and Colors delivered a share of 0.02%.
