Overnights: Asian channels dented by ratings fall

Most UK Asian TV channels suffered a decline in ratings on Monday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Market leader, Star Plus remained top but with lower than usual ratings for its Star Plus Dopahar slot. The top rated show was ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 52,400 viewers, while ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’ at 14:00 attracted 19,600 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 13:00 with 15,700 viewers. Later in the evening, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ stayed top with 83,700 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 78,900 viewers and ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ at 20:00 with 76,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ led with 12,800 viewers, followed by ‘Swabhimaan’ at 21:30 with 10,500 viewers and ‘Udann’ at 20:30 with 7,900 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ was watched by 39,600 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 22,700 viewers and ‘Kairi’ at 19:00 with 18,700 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ could only attract 5,600 viewers, followed by ‘Kuldeepak’ at 22:00 with 3,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Sangsaar’ at 19:00 fetched 35,300 viewers, followed by ‘Jithani’ at 19:30 with 34,300 viewers and ‘Yeh Raha Dil’ at 20:00 with 23,800 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Meri Saheli Meri Bhabhi’ at 19:30 pulled in 14,700 viewers, followed by ‘Bholi Bano’ at 21:00 with 5,000 viewers.
