Overnights: ARY Family delivers near zero ratings on Wednesday

Popular Pakistani television channel, ARY Family delivered near zero ratings in terms of share in UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

ARY Family, which airs programmes from ARY Digital in Pakistan, was expected to do a lot better. While, the numbers will be disappointing for ARY Family, its rivals Hum TV and Geo TV will be rejoicing. One thing that works in ARY Family’s favour is that it launched barely a month ago and it is yet to roll out its official marketing campaign.

In first BARB data, ARY Family registered a share of 0.002% on Wednesday (3rd January) – that’s lower than 0.01%. At the time of filing this programme information for the channel was unavailable. However, BizAsiaLive.com understands that the 18:00 – 21:00 timeband got the biggest ratings of the day with an average audience of under 1,000 viewers.

This is the first time ARY’s entertainment shows have been BARB measured. In its previous avatar, ARY Digital was available to Sky Asia Pack customers and was not being measured. Since ARY Digital’s exit from UK screens last January, viewers have switched to other Asian TV channels, with Hum TV and Geo TV impressing recently in ratings. In comparison, Hum TV registered a share of 0.09%, followed by Hum Masala with 0.07% and Geo TV with 0.01%.
