Overnights: ‘Arjun’ leads weekend UK ratings

The crime thriller ‘Arjun’ on Star Plus was the favourite amongst the UK Asian TV channels over the weekend, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

Even though ‘Arjun’ (94,700 viewers) was eclipsed in the ratings on Saturday night by ‘India’s Dancing Superstar’ (135,800 viewers), it still put in a good performance. ‘India’s Dancing Superstar: Xtra Beats’ at 22:30 pulled in 46,400 viewers.

However, on Sunday, ‘Arjun’ got the biggest audience with 107,200 viewers, whereas ‘India’s Dancing Superstar’ had to settle for second place with 93,200 viewers.

Over on Rishtey, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ was the biggest ratings puller on both Saturday with 48,800 viewers and Sunday with 70,900 viewers. Pakistani drama ‘Mera Naseeb’ was second place with 23,900 viewers (Saturday) and 65,000 viewers (Sunday). The launch episode of ‘Bigg Boss 4’ (re-run) on Sunday on the channel got 32,600 viewers – peaking at 69,600 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:00 on Saturday night was biggest ratings winner with 35,200 viewers.
