Overnights: Aishwarya films put ZEE Cinema at No.2 on Thursday

A selection of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan films on her birthday, broadcast on ZEE Cinema, put the channel at No.2 in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

ZEE Cinema’s share was at 0.09%, behind Star Plus, which remained No.1 with a share of 0.28%.

All-day, ZEE Cinema dedicated its output to Bachchan films with ‘Provoked’ pulling in 22,000 viewers at 16:00, ‘Hamara Dil Aap Ke Paas Hai’ at 12:30 with 19,600 viewers, ‘Robot’ at 20:30 with 7,000 viewers and ‘Jazbaa’ at 18:00 with 4,700 viewers. ‘Taal’ registered zero at 09:15.

ZEE Cinema dominated the movie genre, while Star Gold was placed at No.2 with a share of 0.03%, followed by B4U Movies with 0.02% and Sony MAX and Rishtey Cineplex both garnering a share of 0.01%.
