Overnights: Aaj Tak overtakes all South Asian news channels on Tuesday

Aaj Tak surprised by overtaking all Asian news channels, including popular Urdu services, on Tuesday in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

In overall share figures, Aaj Tak was joint No.4 with Sony Entertainment Television. Both channels grabbed a share of 0.07%, putting them behind Star Plus (0.17%), Hum TV (0.10%) and BritAsia TV (0.09%). Aaj Tak beat off competition from other news channels including NDTV 24×7 with 0.05%, Dunya News with 0.04%, ABP News and New Vison TV with 0.03%.

Aaj Tak’s biggest programming highlights on Tuesday were ‘Election Newstrack’ at 20:00 with 21,000 viewers, followed by ‘News Today at Nine’ at 21:00 with 15,600 viewers.
