Overnights: ’24 India’ starts off slow on Colors

Indian import '24' not showing internationally

Colors’ hit thriller ’24 India’ Season One has disappointed in UK ratings so far, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Initial figures show that the channel has garnered around 1,000 viewers on average on both Monday and Tuesday. While it picked up slightly in its second outing on Tuesday night, it is proving to be underwhelming in ratings. There could be two factors for the low viewership: 1. UK viewers may have already watched episodes of the show online since it was aired in India last year 2. The star time of ’24 India’ is inconsistent due to the preceding show ‘Krishndasi’ extended from 40-50 minutes over past few days. It is expected to pick up in ratings in days to come, ahead of the launch of Season Two of ’24 India’ in July.

On Colors, the top rated show last night was ‘Krishndasi’ with 6,200 viewers at 21:40, followed by ‘Swaragini’ at 21:00 with 5,800 viewers and ‘Ashoka’ at 23:25 with 5,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ took lead with 127,900 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 115,000 viewers, ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 88,800 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 85,800 viewers. New show ‘Ishqbaaaz’ dropped in its second outing to 36,300 viewers at 21:30.

On Rishtey, ‘Madhubala’ delivered 30,000 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Kasam’ at 20:30 with 22,900 viewers and ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 22,100 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 fetched 27,700 viewers, followed by ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 with 15,900 viewers, ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 with 8,500 viewers and ‘Meri Aweaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai’ at 21:30 with 7,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Zara Yaad Kar’ at 20:00 attracted 32,000 viewers, followed by ‘Sawab’ at 21:30 with 19,900 viewers and ‘Khwab Saraye’ at 22:00 with 11,600 viewers.
