Every year IIFA presents an Outstanding Achievement Award to one personality from the Bollywood film fraternity for their predominant contribution to the industry. This year Rekha will be honoured with the award.
NDTV reports��Rekha commenting on news of the honour, “I am extremely humbled to be appreciated… It has been a long journey and hopefully my passion and love for cinema will continue to reach out to all my fans. I am especially happy to be honoured at a time when the industry celebrates a centenary of Indian films.”
Known as one of Bollywood’s queens for giving��unforgettable performances in her 30-year career and��with films like ‘Umrao Jaan’ (1981), ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ (1978) and ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ (1988) to her name, Rekha will now stand alongside legends such as VK Murthy, Yash Johar and Dilip Kumar who have previously been bestowed with the award.
