Original students Alia-Varun-Sidharth to feature in ‘SOTY 2’?

When news broke that ‘Student of the Year’ (2012) was to get a sequel, many will have been excited to see how the franchise would continue. As the second part’s shoot goes on, it seems the original cast Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra will be making a return.

It seems that Bhatt will be seen in a song while Dhawan and Malhotra may be in a special appearance within the story. A source informed Mumbai Mirror, “Farah Khan will be choreographing the song which only features Alia and the film’s team is figuring out ways to incorporate her co-stars from the first film, Varun and Sidharth, in the sequel. Both the actors are expected to shoot their portions in the coming weeks too. Alia and Tiger’s song will be shot over one week on a grand set that is being put up at a suburban studio.”

The new cast consists of Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria – the latter two making their debuts. It’s scheduled for release on 10th May.
