Om Puri’s wife confirms his biopic is on the cards

Om Puri’s estranged wife Nandita has confirmed that a biopic about the late actor’s life is in on its way.

Nandita wrote Puri’s biography and told Mid-Day, “I am adapting the book. I am making a biopic on Omji. I am taking part of the book and I am putting it as he wanted, as an inspirational story”.

Nandita said that it’s difficult to think of an actor to play him. She adds, “We are just at the developing stage of the screenplay. The script is the most important thing for a film”.

Puri passed away in January.
