Noor TV delays launch of channel on Sky

Upcoming Islamic religious channel Noor TV has postponed its launch on Sky Digital.

The Birmingham based channel was set to go live on Monday 23rd October. Tests of the new channel were set to begin on Monday 9th October, which due to a technical hitch have not resulted.

In an email to BizAsia.co.uk, the Managing Director said; “Yes, Noor TV has been delayed until further notice. I’m sure Noor TV will be on air within the next six months. I thank you and your establishment for the support and interest.”

Earlier this week, we reported the launch delays of Zoom TV, Sahara One and Filmy. ZEE Network is also concentrating on launching its new channel in Russia and thus has delayed the UK launch of its new channels until next year.
