Noor TV begins testing on Sky ahead of launch

A new Birmingham-based Islamic educational channel is gearing up for its launch on Sky Digital

Noor TV will broadcast from Aston in Birmingham has begun testing EPG data, with audio and visual tests expected to begin later this week.

The channel has had its launch delayed on two occasions already due to management changes. However, today’s development has confirmed the channel is now on course for an early-April launch.

In the meantime full video and audio testing can be viewed in the following way:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.662 (H), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “54056” service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “54056” should be listed and available
