When Deepika Padukone was signed for Rajnikanth starrer ‘Kochdaiiyaan’, there was much excitement. However, in a twist to fairytale, it seems Padukone’s voice will not be heard throughout the movie – even in the Hindi version.
Whether the actress was not able to give dubbing her time or whether it was a deliberate choice to get a voiceover is not known. Dubbing artiste Mona Ghosh Shetty will be Padukone’s voice in the entire movie, having dubbed for her previously in ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007).
Produced by Sunil Lulla, ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ is slated for release in April. It is yet to be seen whether Padukone will take part in promotions.
