No truth to Ranbir-Alia pairing up for Imtiaz Ali’s next?

Rumours had been doing the rounds that filmmaker Imtiaz Ali was set for a new project starring actor Ranbir Kapoor opposite Alia Bhatt. However it has been recently revealed that there is probably no truth to these rumours at all.

“Ranbir-Alia in Imtiaz’a next and Shah Rukh Khan turning down Imtiaz’s film, these are all mere conjectures,” Pinkvilla reported a source close to Ali explaining.

He went onto say, “The picture of Ranbir and Alia that is being used for this story about them coming together in Imtiaz’s film, was shot when Ranbir’s did some interviews of Imtiaz and Alia for a television channel during the promotions of ‘Highway’ (2014).”

A source close to Bhatt had also been reported staying there are no truth to the actress and Kapoor working with Ali.

However, the two actors will be seen together on screen in Ayan Mukerji’s film which set for release in 2017. Apparently, news has it that this film will be a somewhat super-hero film.
