A new film, with a whole host of fresh faces gives filmmakers all the more reason to celebrate, and launch they’re discovered talents in every way, shape of form. However, producer-director Karan Johar and his three ‘Student Of The Year’ lead actors Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra will be missing out on one very big opportunity to do this.
News has it that due to the amount of promotional events that are taking place for the film, Johar and the team don’t have the time to organise a grand premiere for the film. NDTV reports Johar talking to reporters, explaining “I would like to present them, I wish we had the schedule and time. I wanted to hold a grand premiere and officially introduce them (the new actors) to the movie industry. But our marketing plans are so extensive, city visits, international travel.”
The producer went on to say how organising an event like this takes time and dedication, to make sure everything is set out right. Though he hasn’t had a premiere for any of his films ever since ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998) he wanted to premier this one. Well, it seems like Johar is going to have to up the ante in all the promotional events, to make up for losing out on this major occasion.
