No Pakistan release for ‘Dangal’

As audience await the release of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ this Christmas, there is unfortunate news for Bollywood fans in Pakistan. While rumours suggested the film would be releasing in India’s neighbouring country, it has now been confirmed that ‘Dangal’ will not release in Pakistan.

Confirming this to PTI, the distributors’ spokesperson stated “any news reports to the contrary are false.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ sees Aamir Khan essay the role of real-life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The film, which releases this week, marks the debut of Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
