Actor Ram Kapoor has risen to fame over the last few years due to his award-winning performance as the character of the same name is ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ (‘BALH’). However, although the actor has enjoyed much success on television, he has very frankly revealed in a recent interview that it will soon be a thing of the past as he will be concentrating solely on his film career.
Asked whether he will do another TV show following the end of ‘BALH’, Kapoor told Hindustan Times, “Not really. Actually, I was supposed to do it only for a year, just like Ekta and I had decided. I had many films in hand and even turned her down initially. But the audiences liked it so much that I continued. It۪s getting harder with every passing year to juggle it with films. I۪m committed to BALH and I۪d rather have it end than I leave it. I۪ll never turn my back on TV, but post BALH, I won۪t do more TV for a while at least.”
Talking about the films he is currently busy with, Kapoor added, “I have a triple role in Sajid Khan۪s Humshakals. His films are mad and so are all the roles that I۪m playing in it including a villain. I also have Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Santa Banta, and Nagesh Kukunoor۪s Lakshmi. On TV, one is stuck with the same kind of roles for years, but films have opened up things in a big way.”
BizAsia wish the actor all the best with both his TV and film career and hope he returns to TV soon.
