No more comedies for Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan has always been appreciated in his comic roles. However, BizAsia has learnt that he isn�۪t keen on continuing in the genre right now.

���It�۪s time to switch genres for a while. I�۪ve done three comedies in a row. After Happy New Year and All Is Well I enjoyed Housefull 3 to the hilt. But for now it�۪s enough,�۝ said the actor at a recent Kabaddi meet, according to SKJ.

The actor also said he has a few scripts to look through, ���I am looking at something I have not done so far. I think I�۪ve done all genres���from slapstick comedies to family dramas. The only thing I haven�۪t done is horror. And I don�۪t want to do horror. I don�۪t like watching horror, so why would I want the audience to watch me do it?�۝

He also spoke about the success of the recent ��Housefull 3�۪ which has crossed 100 crore, ���We all worked so hard on it. All my co-stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani and my directors Sajid-Farhad were pros at slapstick. I was completely new to the genre. They all guided me throughout the scenes. We had a lot of fun doing this one�۝.

Bachchan is thought to have signed Sanjay Gupta�۪s forthcoming gangster flick, the details of which haven�۪t yet been confirmed.
