BizAsia reported a little while ago that Kareena Kapoor was most probably cast in Karan Johar’s next, ‘Shuddhi’, opposite Hrithik Roshan – this was following a supposed mistake tweet sent by the Dharma Productions official account on Twitter. Although denial hasn’t really been outright, director Karan Malhotra has recently rubbished that he has finalised Kapoor or even Anushka Sharma for the role.
Talking to India Today, Malhotra said, “All the reports, which has been flashing, are fake. We didn’t cast Kareena Kapoor neither Anushka Sharma. In a months time, I will finalise the leading lady for my film”.
Malhotra also cleared up speculation about Danny Denzongpa being a part of the movie, “This is a false news. I never approached Danny for this film. I have my wish list ready for the film. We will rope in some strong veteran actor, but we have not approached anybody so far”.
Well, it seems we’ll still have to sit tight to see who will be cast in the movie.
