No India promotions for Pakistani actors in ‘Mom’

With the tensions between India and Pakistan still quite apparent, news has it that actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui who will be seen in the next Sridevi starrer ‘Mom’, will not be in India to promote the film with the veteran actress.

“Although they have prominent roles in the film, they won’t be coming to India to promote their film,” Asian Age reports a source expressing.

They went on to add, “They were cast for this film long back, before the ban on Pakistani artistes.”

Despite the ban being a sensitive issue, the makers of the film are trying to get ‘Mom’ to release over the border. “Yes, they have had a word with the distributors there. Let’s see how things turn out,” the source revealed.

Set to release on 7th July, ‘Mom’ also stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
