No ‘Hindi Medium’ sequel without Irrfan Khan

With rumours aplenty about the sequel of ‘Hindi Medium 2’, some reports suggested that the film could be going on the floors with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and Irrfan Khan joining the cast later. However, this is untrue.

According to Deccan Chronicle, a source denied the rumours of ‘Hindi Medium 2’ going on the floors without Irrfan. The actor has been in London undergoing treatment for cancer.

Talking to the publication, it said, “There is no Shah Rukh, no Kajol, and no Hindi Medium 2 at the moment. Even Irrfan who played the lead in the original is uncertain. We will carry on with the idea of a sequel when Irrfan returns from his medical treatment.”
