No extension of stay on trial against Sooraj Pancholi

The Jiah Khan suicide case is currently ongoing with her then boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi’s trial still to happen. The stay on the extension for the trial has now been lifted by Bombay High Court, BizAsia has learnt.

The High Court has reportedly deferred the trial court in February. It was then looking at a grievance and petition raised by Jiah’s mother Rabia who has always been very strong in saying that her daughter was murdered.

Rabia is thought to have filed a fresh petition saying that the CBI had only considered the case as a suicide. Apparently, Rabia has said that importance evidence had been lost along the way and she had asked for a new investigation to be carried out.
