Nitesh Tiwari & Ravi Udyawar to make ‘Ramayana’ on huge budget

If news is to be believed, Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar will soon be teaming up to make the epic ‘Ramayan’, and plan to have a huge budget of Rs 500 crore.

According to Cineblitz, the filmmakers will be making it a three part project, where they will be signing actors from all the different film pools around India, where there will be Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.

Where recent filmmakers have been scrutinised for depicting a part of history and heritage, Tiwari has expressed he will be doing everything he can to ensure the project had a stamp of authenticity throughout.

Udyawar was reported expressing, “I heard these stories from my grandmother and mother and passed them on to my children. Everybody knows the story of Ram, Sita and Raavan, it’s the story-telling that will make our trilogy memorable and I’m putting everything I have learnt into it to make it fun and engaging while staying true to the original.”

Apparently, Tiwari wants to get started on the first installment next year so that they can have a 2021 release.
