Nimrat Kaur knows when to keep silent

Celebrities and their viewpoints towards sensitive issues tend to spark riotous comments and controversies all over social media. Some may choose to speak their hearts out fearlessly but some choose to remain silent. Nimrat Kaur is one such celebrity who dares speak her heart out but also knows when to compose herself in deep bouts of graceful silence.

When asked about a sensitive issue pertaining to the death sentence of an Indian national, Kulbhushan Jhadav in Pakistan, she offered to react in a manner similar to that of Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra. According to the Hindustan Times, she said, “I can’t give impulsive reactions on a sensitive topic, so I absolutely refrain from talking about it. I politely try to just remain quiet or say that this is not the right time to talk about it. That’s actually the only way to not give further attention to something that should not be happening.”

In addition to that, she also goes an extra mile in being wary of the spotlight which could only bring about negative publicity, “It’s very important not to react, or else that two-second clip will be replayed on TV channels over and over again and you would be made to look like someone who knows nothing about what’s happening in the country.”

The actress further pointed out how actors have such busy schedules that they can’t always keep track of current events and the frenzy that goes about on social media. Hence, it is often not easy for celebrities or public figures to be opinionated about everything that happens universally.
