Nimbus bags four-year deal for BCCI rights

Nimbus Communications has bagged the broadcast rights from the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) for four years, starting April 2010.

The communications giant has paid a whopping Rs 2000 crore for the new deal.

Nimbus are the existing right holders for which they previously paid the Board $612 million.

The agreement, which featured 23 Tests, 55 ODIs, is coming to an end at the conclusion of the Indian squad’s home series of Tests (3) and ODIs (5) against South Africa.
