Nihal moves to Radio 1’s weekend afternoons

From September, Radio 1 presenter Nihal will be moved moved from his weekend breakfast show to an afternoon slot.

The changes are part of Radio 1’s revamp to it’s weekend schedule.

Nihal, who also has a show on the BBC Asian Network, is moving from Saturday and Sunday mornings to the afternoons.

Nihal said: “I’ve loved doing the weekend breakfast show, and now in under a year I’ve been given another amazing opportunity to speak to a whole new audience whilst hoping that the breakfast listeners come and check me out in the afternoons too.

“One problem is that I’m going to get flak about the football live while I’m on air.”
