News18 India begins EPG data testing on Sky

TV18’s forthcoming hybrid Indian news and current affairs channel, News18 India has begun EPG data testing on the Sky Digital platform ahead of its official launch next month.

News18 India will be distributed in the UK and other International markets by IndiaCast, a strategic joint venture between TV18 and Viacom18 and one of India�۪s largest multi-platform content aggregators.

Viacom18 and TV18?s international distribution arm, IndiaCast currently operates Colors and Rishtey in the UK. News18 India will be the network�۪s third channel in the country.

News18 India will be launch on Monday 1st July in the UK, followed by other countries.

The EPG data tests can be viewed at the parameters below. Full video and audio tests are expected to start later this week.

The tests can be viewed at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.343 (V), FEC: 2/3, SR: 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight ���55211? service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> ���55211? should be listed and available
