News reader announces death of husband
A news piece featuring newsreader Supreet Kaur has gone viral after she held back tears when announcing the death of her husband.
Hindustan Times reports that the breaking news story of the road accident, left many surprised at Kaur’s professional approach in covering the story. Kaur, who works on IBC-24 in Chhatisgarh, remained composed during the news bulletin earlier today, in which Kaur’s husband passed away in a fatal car accident.
The report adds that Kaur broke down after having walked out of the live television studio. A senior editor told Hindustan Times, “She got a sense that it was her husband’s vehicle. She read the bulletin and only when she came out of the studio, she started calling her relatives.”
Kaur has been with the news channel for the past nine years.
