Newly married Vidya & Kareena uncomfortable with raunchy role

Kapoor turns down role due to sexual content

Both Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor have reached new heights in their careers, showing that they are not afraid to try something new. However, things seem to be changing for these two divas suddenly, as news has it they both turned down the same role due to its sexual content.

The film in question is Tigmanshu Dhulia ‘s next venture ‘Begum Samru’. Times of India report him stating, “The film is set in the 1840s and will be based on a Hindi novel. I wrote the script a few years ago.I am looking to rope in an international studio. That will ensure I don’t face any censor issues in terms of satelliterights. That being said, I did approach Kareena and Vidyabut they weren’t comfortable with the script.”

Talking about the film itself, Dhulia explains, “The story is a different take on ‘Umrao Jaan’ (1981). The lead actress will be abegum, not a nautch girl. Thebegumwoos four men before falling in love with one of them and that’s where the trouble begins.”

Looks like being a married woman has restricted these two actresses already. First a stop to daring roles and then what?
