Newcomers to replace Abhishek-Aishwarya in ‘Gulab Jamun’?

Recently, BizAsiaLive.com reported that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had rejected Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gulab Jamun’. Now it’s emerged that the couple will be replaced by newcomers.

“When Anurag approached Abhishek and Aishwarya with the film’s script, the duo (Abhishek and Aishwarya) who were really happy with it, suggested some changes in the script and the Gangs of Wasseypur director readily agreed and modified the script a bit as per their suggestions”, said a source, according to Absolute India.

The source further added that Kashyap had gone ahead after the couple clearly weren’t happy, “However, the duo asked Kashyap for some time before they gave a final nod. Kashyap waited patiently for few months but now the filmmaker feels that Abhi-Ash are taking too much time and as there has been no response from their side, Anurag has decided that he will go ahead and make the film with newcomers”.

Many would have been looking forward to seeing the real-life couple together once more. It seems there will be longer wait before this becomes a reality.
