The new Sky Asia Pack half-price offer, which was rolled out in the summer has not been enticing enough for non-subscribers, according to a poll conducted by the UK’s only Asian media news website, BizAsiaLive.com.

In the poll, readers were asked if the new half-price offer was enough to lure them to subscribe to the Sky Digital package. In 206 responses, majority 63% (129 votes) said ‘No’. Only 36 votes – 17% said ‘Yes’. The other 26 votes (13%) said that they could not receive the Sky Asia Pack on their platform and another 15 votes said that they already had the Sky Asia Pack.

The Sky Asia Pack consists of premium channels from ZEE Network, Sony, B4U and ARY Digital. Last year, the pack was launched as an alternative offering to the influx of free channels widely available in the UK market. However, sources say that Sky is pulling out all the stops to attract new subscribers to its package after facing competition from the likes of Star TV, Colors, Rishtey, Hum TV, Geo TV, Zing, &TV and the many others.
