New Pakistani channel starts strand on Showcase TV

An up and coming UK Pakistani channel called Emerald TV has begun its journey of launching fully by debuting on Showcase TV with a two-hour daily strand.

Emerald TV will broadcast proprietary programme content designed to promote the positive aspects of Pakistan as a modern, educated, vibrant, democratic and culturally diverse community embracing liberal democratic values as members of the global society.

Working with Information TV in the UK as technical partners, Nucleus Media and Eckova Productions as partners in Pakistan, we propose to produce high production value content designed to appeal to the under-served community of English speaking British Pakistanis.

The channel will experiment with the two-hour strand before expanding further. Emerald TV is available between 19:30 and 21:30 on Sky Digital channel 192 – labelled Showcase TV 2. The same channel also broadcasts another Asian strand called Booom TV.
