New Pakistani channel on the way

A new Urdu channel called Mashriq TV is set for a UK launch later this year.

Mashriq TV will be dealing with Pakistan’s news, current affairs, documentaries mixed with Urdu music. The channel is already broadcasting in parts of Pakistan.

A channel spokesman has told Biz Asia that it plans to go live on Sky Digital on Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14th August, this year. It will broadcast free-to-air.
