New London Asian radio station to launch

A new digital Asian radio station is set to launch in London later this month.

A spokesperson from IBC toldBizAsia.co.uk��that the station known as IBC Asia will be available in Greater London from Wednesday 15th December.

He added that it will be the group’s first station dedicated to a mainstream Asian audience as it has previously specialised in just a Tamil service.

IBC Asia will broadcast shows in Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Punjabi.

It will be available in Greater London on DAB digital radio (multiplex 3) and online at��www.ibcasia.co.uk��- launching on Wednesday 15th December. The channel is also planning to launch on Sky Digital at a later date.

IBC Tamil has been broadcasting for nearly twenty years and recently launched on DAB in London after being available for three hours per day on multicultural station, Spectrum Radio.
