New ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ launch date confirmed

The new series of Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s superhit gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ launches in the first week of September, BizAsia can confirm.

The show, which will be in its sixth series will once again be hosted by Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan. Details of the new format are sketchy at the moment.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 6’ will air Friday – Sunday at 20:30 replacing ‘Indian Idol’. Unlike the previous series, this time around, the channel is only scheduling ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in the weekend slot rather than the weekday. The show launches on Friday 7th September.
