New judges for ‘Nach Baliye’ revealed

‘Nach Baliye’ has always managed to keep the audience hooked with its formula of getting television’s most popular stars to shake a leg with their real life partners. While the last two seasons have by far been the most popular, with judges Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Terrence Lewis, and Sajid Khan, it looks like the newest producers of the reality show have decided to try a new formula. Balaji Telefilms has replaced the trio with Preity Zinta, author Chetan Bhagat, and choreographer Marzi Pestonji.

There have been many reports doing the rounds regarding the show, whether it was replacing the hosts, to locking up the contestants in a house a la ‘Big Boss,’ or the most head scratching, the new list of judges. According to a report on Mid-Day, it has been confirmed that Zinta, Bhagat, and Pestonji will indeed be the new judges of the upcoming season.

Balaji has always lead television with its unique concepts, but there sure will be many conflicting minds with these changes, due to the popularity of not only the three past judges, but also anchors Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode who have kept the audience in splits with their antics in the last seasons. While Zinta and Pestonji have had their share in television, this will be Bhagat’s debut on the small screen. The list of contestants and anchors for this season have not been entirely confirmed, but Aishwarya Sakhuja has confirmed that she and husband Rohit Nag will be a part of the show, and it has also been reported that Barun Sobti has been approached to host the show but his team have since denied any truth in the news.
