New ‘Jhalak’ returns to Sony TV in February

The new series of Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s (SET) ratings winning show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ will return next month.

According to sources, the channel has renewed its contract with BBC Worldwide Productions India to produce the third and fourth seasons of the celebrity dance reality show.

Albert Almeida, executive vice-president and business head, SET India, said, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is one of the most anticipated shows on Indian television. What makes the show so watchable and exciting is the format, which is about the performance and determination of public figures who are not trained dancers.”

Saul Nass̩, general manager and creative head, BBCW Productions India, says, “I am delighted that SET has demonstrated confidence in commissioning two series of one of our industry’s most ambitious shows to be produced by our Mumbai production base.”
