New ‘EastEnders’ Muslim gay plot to spark fury

A further twist in the ongoing gay storyline featuring a Muslim character in BBC One’s ‘EastEnders’ is set to spark fury, according to reports.

The Daily Star reports that viewers will see openly gay character, Christian being beaten up by a Muslim character close to Syed and wife Amira after the affair is finally exposed.

Producers are staying tight-lipped about who carries out the attack but there will be a number of suspects in the frame.

When Amira discovers the truth about her husband�۪s sexuality, she turns to her family for comfort.

Heartbroken by his betrayal, she flees Walford in disgust, leaving Syed to try to explain why she has left ��� and he decides to cover up the truth.

An ‘EastEnders’ insider told Daily Star, “Amira finally learns the truth about Syed and, as you can imagine, she�۪s devastated.

She can�۪t believe that he would betray her like that with a man. And not just any man but Christian.

“Everyone knows Amira�۪s leaving but it�۪s not yet known if Syed will go with her or stay in Walford with Christian. But it seems that Christian is going to take the brunt of Syed�۪s problems.”

An ‘EastEnders’ spokesman said, “We won�۪t confirm future storylines as we do not want to spoil anything for our viewers.”
