Netflix unveils first look of Sharma family in ‘Bridgerton 2’

‘Bridgerton’ on Netflix was such a huge success that it was only inevitable that a second season would be commissioned. In the second season, it was confirmed that an Indian family would be seen in the main roles and the OTT giant has given the first look of the Sharma family.

BizAsiaLive.com reported previously that Kate Sharma would be played by Simone Ashley. Charithra Chandran will be seen as Edwina Sharma and Shelley Conn as Mary Sharma. Chandran told spoke at Netflix’s TUDUM event and said, “They very much feel like outsiders. The Bridgertons and Featheringtons are the core ton. And the Sharmas, they feel like, almost like if the audience who watched season one were kind of put in. They are new. They don’t really know what’s happening. They have their ideas”.

The show is an adaptation of Julia Quinn’s novels of the same name. The second season is expected to arrive in 2022.
