Netflix to produce unscripted series on Mumbai Indians

Netflix has announced a new production, which will be the first unscripted series based on the three-time winner of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians.

The production has been collaborated with Condé Nast Entertainment, which will take a deeper look into the cricketing values and traditions of the successful IPL franchise. Incidentally, the latest IPL season has just got underway.

A statement from Netflix said, “The series will bring viewers a never-before-seen look at the richest tournament in cricket–the world’s second most-watched sport–covering unseen aspects of the team, the compelling stories and characters that bind them with the vibrant city they call home.”

Netflix has been working closely with various companies, to bolster its presence in the India market.
