Neil Nitin Mukesh to play Salman Khan’s brother in Sooraj Barjatya film

Sooraj Barjatya’s forthcoming film with Salman Khan is keeping in the news. The latest buzz suggests that Neil Nitin Mukesh has been cast to play Khan’s younger brother in the film.

Initially, Vidyut Jammwal was approached for the role but had to turn it down due to date issues. Makers have now zeroed in on Mukesh. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “The makers have had lengthy discussions with Neil, who has consented to Sooraj in principle. But, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. That should happen in the next few weeks as Neil is really kicked about the film. Bagging a Sooraj Barjatya film could revive his career which hasn’t been in great shape lately following a series of duds.”

Mukesh will be playing Khan’s step-brother. The source added, “Neil is not the archetypal younger brother. His character is not negative but has shades of grey”.

It’s been a long 15 years since Barjatya and Khan have collaborated and no doubt there will continue to be excitement surrounding the movie which is as yet untitled.
